Vito Balorda delivered the invited talk titled “Causal Explanation in Molecular Biology” at the XV Annual Convention of the Centers for Austrian and Central European Studies held at the University of California, Berkeley. In his talk, Vito examined some issues concerning his PhD thesis, particularly the relationship between causal explanatory structures such as mechanisms and pathways, and their application in molecular biology through the cancer treatment program. The conference was held from 24 to 27 May 2023.
